Line Next, a subsidiary of Line, the Asian social app company, has unveiled its plans to release five NFT-based games on its Web3 gaming platform Game Dosi in the latter half of 2023.
The upcoming games on Game Dosi include Sweet Monster Guardians, Vestria the Last Order (VLO), KEROZ, Drawship Kingdom Reverse, and Project GD. Project GD, an internally-developed intellectual property, is expected to expand into multiple games in the future.
Each game offers distinct gameplay mechanics. Sweet Monster Guardians, the first title to offer NFT pre-sales, is a strategic defense game developed by Movisoft, emphasizing the placement of unique characters.
VLO provides players with a collective role-playing adventure and quests in a PC and Mac game reminiscent of Final Fantasy. It is developed by SIS Studio.
For fans of dungeon-crawling “roguelike” experiences, KEROZ offers an action-adventure game available on mobile and PC, created by Superflex. Drawship Kingdom Reverse, developed by Nolatency Limited, allows players to earn NFT rewards through avatars, machines, and dolls.
While limited information is available about Project GD, the Game Dosi website reveals that it will be a competitive trading card game (TCG) with NFT-based decks of cards.
Game Dosi is set to officially launch on May 18, with a membership sale featuring gold and platinum-tier NFT passes granting early access to the new games.
The platform will provide NFT rewards from Project GD to players who complete missions listed on the community website before the May 31 deadline. Additionally, a raffle will offer players a chance to win NFT prizes based on the number of sign-ups on the Game Dosi Discord channel.
Game Dosi is built on the Finschia blockchain, formerly known as Line Blockchain and Link Chain. Finschia’s native cryptocurrency is LINK.
This venture into NFTs is not Line’s first, as its parent company IPX recently announced a collaborative partnership with Chiru Labs, the creators of Azuki, an Ethereum-based NFT project. The collaboration aims to explore content and merchandise opportunities featuring their respective IP.
